Meet Justin Baum.

Eighteen years in the finance seat, now in your corner.

Your finance department, not just your bookkeeper.

Baum's Accounting Services provides financial clarity that helps clients make better business decisions. We work as an outsourced finance department whose involvement grows with the business. Owners do not come to us for reconciliations and reports on their own. They come for confidence in their numbers, steadier cash flow, and a financial partner who stays with them as the company grows. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, we serve companies across Central Kentucky and nationwide through fully remote service.

The work runs in four steps. Bookkeeping creates reliable records. Accounting and financial reporting turn those records into useful information. Controller services make sure that information is accurate, timely, consistent, and understood. Fractional CFO services use it to guide planning, strategy, cash flow, profitability, and growth. Many relationships begin with bookkeeping or financial reporting and expand into Controller or Fractional CFO support as the business grows.

Underneath all of it is a simple belief: financial statements are only valuable if management can trust them. So every balance is supported and understood before anyone analyzes performance, and when something is wrong we fix the process rather than only the entry.

Leadership.

The firm is built to grow, and so is the team behind it. Today it is led by its founder, with senior hands on every account.

He has also sat on the other side of the desk as the owner of a multi-location retail company, which is a different kind of education in cash, inventory, and payroll. Across construction, healthcare, senior health, environmental services, retail, and professional services, the pattern was always the same: companies growing faster than their finance function could keep up with. He started this firm to give owners that financial leadership without the cost of a full-time hire.

In Justin's words.

Most companies between five and fifty million in revenue are growing fast, but their reporting, visibility, and forecasting have not kept up. They are flying a little blind: financials arrive late, margins are unclear, cash flow is hard to predict, and there is no finance leader to turn the numbers into decisions.

That is the work I love. I help owners and their teams get accurate, timely reporting they can trust, a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, and a clear read on profitability across jobs, locations, or departments. Then we use it, to make better calls on pricing, hiring, growth, and strategy.

You do not need a full-time CFO to get that. You need someone who has done it, and who will speak to you in plain language instead of accounting jargon.

How we work.

Right, and on time

Late or shaky financials are not financials. Yours close on a schedule and reconcile before they reach you.

Plain language

We translate the numbers into the decision in front of you. No jargon, no lecture.

Grow together

Most clients start with bookkeeping or financial reporting, add Controller services as they scale, then grow into a Fractional CFO relationship. One team the whole way, never a handoff.

The types of problems we help solve.
