Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of this website.

Last updated: July 2026.

These terms cover your use of the Baum's Accounting Services, LLC website. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is for

The site explains what our firm does, the kinds of companies we work with, and how to start a conversation. It is a source of general business information and a way to reach us. It is not a client portal, and nothing published on it has been written for your company in particular.

General information, not tailored guidance

Everything here is written for a general audience. It is not a substitute for guidance that accounts for your entity type, your books, your industry, and your state, and it should not be treated as though it were. Figures, timelines, and examples are illustrations. Rules change, and a page written in one quarter may not describe the rules in the next.

Using the site does not start a working relationship

Reading these pages, submitting a form, or emailing us does not create a professional or advisory relationship. An engagement starts only when both sides sign a written agreement naming the services, the scope, the schedule, and the fees. Until that agreement exists we have no obligation to act for you, and nothing on this site should be relied on as though we did.

Requests you send through this site

Consultation and contact requests arrive as ordinary business messages. Please do not send bank credentials, payroll files, employer identification numbers, or other sensitive records through the forms here. Once we are working together you will get a secure channel for documents. We answer requests as quickly as we reasonably can, but sending one does not guarantee a reply, an appointment, or acceptance as a client.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and leave it working for everyone else. Do not try to gain access to any part of it you were not given, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it in bulk, overload it, upload anything harmful, misrepresent who you are, or reuse its material to build a competing service. Access may be restricted if the site is being misused.

Ownership of the material

The text, layout, design, graphics, photographs, and the Baum's Accounting Services name and logo belong to Baum's Accounting Services, LLC or are used with permission. You are welcome to read these pages, print them, and share links to them. Copying, republishing, or adapting the material for your own commercial use requires our written permission first.

Ideas and comments you send

If you send a suggestion or a comment about the site, we may act on it and improve what we do without owing you anything in return. Please do not send anything you consider confidential through this website.

Outside links and embedded tools

This site links to other websites and may embed scheduling or contact tools operated by outside providers. Those services run under their owners' terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle information you give them.

Availability of the site

We work to keep the site up and accurate, and we provide it on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or safe from every threat, and we do not warrant that every statement on it stays current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Baum's Accounting Services, LLC and its members, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or interrupted business, arising from your use of this website or from anything you relied on here. Our total liability on any claim connected with this website will not exceed one hundred dollars. Some states do not permit certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

If your use of the site causes a claim

You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if someone brings a claim against us because of the way you used this site or because you broke these terms.

Privacy

Information collected through this site is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute connected with this site or these terms belongs in the state or federal courts serving Fayette County, Kentucky, and both sides consent to that venue.

The rest of the fine print

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. Choosing not to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive it later. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement covering your use of this website, and neither one modifies a signed engagement agreement between us.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The revised version applies once it is posted here with the date at the top updated. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change.
